Hi Martin,
The KflopWebNC software is still experimental. You should be able to use our KMotionCNC software until that is further developed.
Not sure what you mean by this:
>> Renishaw Sp2 for Digitizing (it has mini scale NOT switch) i still want to use. (now Fagor 8050 with digitizing option is installed)
We have a layer where you can add your own Kinematics and possibly RTCP but no we don't currently have that. See:
and also if you download the software see the Kinematics3Rod.cpp module.
Otherwise you would need the CAD system to generate 5 axis GCode.

Hello
For Renishaw SP2, i mean, it is a 3d probing device but not with switches, instead it has 3 mini linear encoder with quadratur square wave (A&B)output. This Device is normaly used for copy milling and digitizing.
ABout RTCP, yes one way would be cam generating the 5 axis Gcode, this would be fine for just mill complex 3D parts, but then the Tool length must be involved to the cam, not so convienient.....
BUT very often i need only a few holes or nut, but needs to be accuratly for anchor and fittings in a specific angle(in not too complex parts for example furniture cabinet design), where you would like just swivel the head and then jog with the mpg where you have a C-axis on the spindel, and a anglehead aggregate for a fix angle, then i would need the kinematic conversion for RTCP, so i can just use the mpg for Z axis move (Tool oriented) so X,Y and Z move synchron to the oriented Toolshaft.
Of course, the CAM could do this also, but for some reason (efficency) i dont want simple parts even drwaw in the CAM.
Just swivel the head in the right angle....RTCP on....jog Z axis.
Sounds so simple :-)))
About the Gizmo video, I do not know, how it is implemented.

Hi Martin,
Regarding the Renisahw SP2 I believe that would be possible. It would use all 8 encoder inputs. 5 for the axes and 3 for the digitizer.
Regarding the RTCP that is something we would definitely want to have but don't right now. I'd be willing to work with you on it but no guarantees. As you describe simple linear "Z" motion mapped to an xyz linear interpolated motion doesn't sound too difficult.

ok, then iam going to buy one, have a nc x/y table to convert with a old cnc controller for a friend, so i will see how it works...
last question for my bigg baby:
i have read, it is possible to use more than one kflop?
X,(Ygantry),Z,C,B : 5 axis and 3 Probe encoder are 9 ?!?
then have 1 carussel Toolchanger
Y is gantry with 2 big Servo and 2 encoder(uhh, no resolver...#@&)
one addition for the spindle (rigid tapping)
and a additional rotary table for machining a column(no rtcp etc. here needed)
Does this work with 2 Kflop/Kmotion together?
I mean, can i have 2 boards control within the cncsoftware?
The toolchanger may be a plc axis?
thanks
regards

Hi Martin,
Basically no. Multiple boards are theoretically supported, but they wouldn't be real-time syncronized, except if you wrote special User programs and so forth. I suppose two KFLOPs could communicate via their UART (serial port) and one could send a command to another such as change tool, or report captured digitizer values. But this would require you to be responsible for writing the software.
Are you saying your Y gantry uses 2 encoders?
Are any the encoders relatively low speed? Encoders can be handled in software and not require one of the 8 hardware encoder inputs. MPGs are often handled in that manner to save on encoder inputs. Count rates up to ~ 5KHz can be handled in software.

TK

Tom,
actually 2xY, X and Z = 4 Resolvers. I mixed it up with my other metall mill where heidenhain encoder are on the DC Servo.
This one has Resolver on AC Servos. the spec for the Resolvers i have to find in the manual.
AND of course a mpg i need also.

...just ordered one :-) Support seems to be outstanding :-)
First one, i am going to use it on a X/Y table with Stepper.
Where can i find a nice Breakoutboard?
many thanks.

Martin
Winford Engineering, has every type you would need
another source might be Futurlec, but their site can be a pain to navigate
make sure your stepper drives work with LVTTL or Open collector
